Third sector organisations are generally charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, and community groups. They usually focus their work on specific causes and do not ordinarily seek to make surplus profits from their activities and services.

Macular Society (Helpline 0300 3030 111)
UK charity proving information, support, counselling and services for people affected by macular disease. They run a number of local groups throughout Wales and contribute to research into combating macular disease.
Glaucoma UK (Helpline 01233 64 81 70)
Telephone and email helpline for practical help and advice about glaucoma and emotional support. The line is open Mon - Fri: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. After office hours, an answerphone is in operation, where you can leave a message and they will ring you back.
Diabetes UK (Helpline 0345 123 2399)
Their aim is improving care, and providing help, support, and information for people with diabetes and their families across Wales.
Retina UK (Helpline 0300 111 4000)
Retina UK helpline is operated by volunteers all directly affected with a genetic eye disorder, who genuinely understand the issues faced with daily living.
Nystagmus Network (Helpline 01427 718093)
The helpline can answer questions on what it's like to have nystagmus, on treatment and research, on DLA, on education and employment, on driving and discrimination, in fact anything you can think of related to nystagmus, whether congenital (early onset) or acquired (late onset). Or you can just phone for a chat with someone else who has nystagmus.

Sense (Usher syndrome) (Phone 0300 330 9280)
Sense is a national charity that supports & campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. They offer high-quality, flexible services across the UK, using skilled staff and a dedicated network of volunteers. They work with a wide range of deafblind and multi-sensory impaired people, as well as those with a single-sensory impairment with additional needs. They offer specialist services built around the wishes of each person, enabling them to be as independent as possible

North Wales Society for the Blind (Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy)
NWSB provide practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages throughout North Wales. They work to promote independence, choice and confidence whilst also providing the essential services them members tell them are important to them.
Sight Cymru (Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan)
Provides services and support for people with sight loss in South Wales. In addition to listed services they run various events throughout the year such as coffee mornings, Annual Expo, i-Sight conference etc and have a specialist knowledge about people with Sight Loss and Learning Disabilities and those from different ethnicities who are at greater risk of sight loss.
Sight Life (Cardiff, NPT, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea)
Sight Life (formerly Cardiff Institute for the Blind) provides local services and lifelong support, so that blind and partially sighted people across the majority of South Wales can enjoy fulfilled lives.
Vision Support (Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham)
Vision Support is a North-East Wales (and Cheshire) charity. They provide person-centred services which meet the needs of adults and children with vision impairment across Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Conwy.
